Welcome to the Age of the Smith.
Born way back in 2000—or what may be "way back" for some of you—this world of dragons, knights and ancient magics was nothing more than a pass time for a socially shy, overly imaginative, twelve-year-old me. As the years have gone by, it's seen its ups and downs. From nothing more than poor penmanship on classic wide-rule, to carefully typewriter-typed pages, it has been nothing if not an ongoing project. Characters have been re-written or scrapped all together, entire plots have changed, but despite a four year abandonment, the core has remained the same.
Now, with what I feel is a bit of experience under my belt, I'm releasing it. My biggest Work in Progress ever. Who knows if it will ever manage to be more than that? I'm just supposed to send a copy to my high school creative writing teacher if it does...
If you happen to be interested in what the actual story is about, though, you'll just have to read it. Eventually I'll try to have some character biographies and other informational links up—no promises, otherwise it wouldn't be a WIP.
